Students entered the open doors at Bridgewater-Raritan High School at an efficient and well-timed pace when the first day of classes began in the district on Wednesday, September 4.
On a beautiful morning, students made their way inside the high school after they parked their cars in the newly paved lot at Basilone Memorial Field, poured off the numerous buses, and were dropped off by family or friends on a day when all 11 buildings in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District launched the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

We’re looking forward to the first day of school tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4! Please view the following letter from the Principal for important reminders.

Dear Families and Students of BRHS:
With the exception of most 9th-grade students (who got their IDs at orientation) and select 12th-grade students (who got their IDs with their parking permits over the summer), all BRHS students will be receiving new physical ID cards on the first day of school, 9/4.
Please note that a physical ID still needs to be obtained and carried, even if a student chooses to use the phone app to access the doors - correspondence related to this went out earlier in the summer.
Old IDs will be collected and new IDs will be distributed on the first day of school. Students - please bring your old ID with you!
9th Grade - if you did not receive your ID at orientation, please drop by the library at any time to receive your ID and Chromebook.
10th Grade - You will receive your IDs during Driver's Education.
11th Grade - You will receive your IDs during Physical Education
12th Grade - You will receive your IDs during Physical Education.
Vo Tech Students - You will receive your IDs during your English Language Arts class.
Open Campus - Seniors who did not pick up their Open Campus label during the summer, should come to the 1000 building main office during unit lunch to pick up their label. Open Campus labels will be placed on the back of the student IDs. Open Campus will start on Thursday 9/5.

A valiant comeback fell short in a wild shootout during the football opener when Bridgewater-Raritan High School was defeated by Notre Dame High School, 40-38, on Friday evening, August 30, in Lawrence Township.
Bridgewater-Raritan was down by a score of 21-10 at the half but staged a furious rally and eventually attempted to gain the lead with 40 seconds to play in the fourth quarter with a 40-yard field goal attempt. But the field goal try was blocked to seal Notre Dame’s thrilling victory.

To Grade 9 Students and Families,
It was a pleasure meeting our first flock of BRHS freshmen today! For those who were unable to attend yesterday’s freshman orientation, please find the guidance counselors’ presentation at this link. Also, Student ID and Chromebook distribution will take place in the library of the 900 building on September 4, 2024–the first day of school.

New students received a crash course of the workings at Bridgewater-Raritan High School when Freshman Orientation was held on Thursday, August 29.
The students, who will enter the high school for the first day of classes on Wednesday, September 4, were introduced in the auditorium by the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Principal, Dan Hemberger, the Assistant Principal for 9th Grade, Tracee Cobbs, and the Freshman Class Advisor, Kerriann Fry.
National Honor Society students were tour guides to show the soon-to-be freshman students the building spread throughout the massive campus. Guidance Counselors gave presentations, and the first-year students received their Chromebooks and Student IDs. The day was capped with the first-year students visiting the cafeteria where the high school’s clubs set up tables and their representatives promoted their organizations.
