The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls’ volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with a big division victory in front of a packed home crowd.
Honored from the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Class of 2025 during a pre-match ceremony with their families were the following nine seniors for the Panthers: Liel Raines Moshe, Jada Otero, Liya Medallon,Emily Evaristo, Faye Gallou, Kylie Rosander, Irene Papanastasiou, Emily Leppert, and MadisonDelia.
It was then match time for Bridgewater-Raritan and the visiting Cougars in a Skyland Conference Delaware Division showdown.
Junior Jahniah Biship (nine kills, two blocks) led all scorers with 11 total points and was amongst three different players producing at least six points for Bridgewater-Raritan (6-9, 2-6), which avenged an earlier regular-season road loss to Montgomery (7-10, 2-7) via a straight-set victory, 2-0 (25-16, 25-20) Tuesday, October 8, at Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium in Bridgewater.
“Tonight, we just really came together,” shared after the game by Evaristo (seven kills, one ace, 12 digs), who made all seven of her kills in the clinching second set alone for the Panthers. “Obviously, it was such an emotional night being Senior Night. I think it just really opened our eyes that this is our last year together. We’ve trusted ourselves on the court, played consistently, and it all paid off.”
