Eisenhower students and staff joined together this week in an extended homeroom activity aimed at fostering unity, teamwork, and perseverance organized by the Eagle Expectations committee.
In their homeroom teams, students participated in the "human knot" activity, an interactive challenge that encourages groups to problem-solve and collaborate closely as they attempt to “untangle” themselves. Other groups put themselves into height and birthday order without speaking, showing their ability to problem solve and work together.
Each homeroom created a "unity chain" by linking their unique names together. Once completed, the chain was crafted into a large "E" shape to symbolize Eisenhower's commitment to unity!
The homeroom activity prepared students to attend a school-wide assembly performance from the BRHS Symphonic Choir. Ms. Lisa Rotondi, the director of choirs, and her high school students shared songs that tied into our theme of unity and teamwork, and we learned about the opportunities to perform with a ‘team’ in the high school choral program.
