Proof that practice makes perfect was presented on Wednesday, December 4, by the 6th Grade choir students at the Eisenhower Intermediate School.
These 6th Graders performed their Winter Choral Concert in the morning of December 4 before their schoolmates and then they came back and shined that evening in front of family and friends in the school’s gymnasium.
Their 6th Grade Choral Director, Christine Nevill, shared her admiration for the hard work of her student singers.
“This year, the students had a little over 10 weeks to prepare, memorize, and present their repertoire and they met that challenge easily. I am so proud of my students and all of their accomplishments and hard work at our winter concert,” Ms. Nevill said.
She also spoke about their performance.
“They prepared an arrangement of winter and festively themed songs that accompanied student speakers reflecting on holidays and celebrations they have at home. This concert also featured the 5th and 6th Grade Encores Lunch Club led by Miss Madison Kaminsky (5th Grade Choral Director).”
Ms. Nevill is looking forward to a productive and enjoyable school year of choral music.
“ I am very excited to prepare even more fun music for our spring concert, festival, and any other activities that present themselves in the spring,” she said.
