Ike snowman shuffle

They celebrate the holidays with a merry dance exhibition each December at the Eisenhower Intermediate School.

And for the 12th consecutive winter, the highly popular Snowman Shuffle was performed in Eisenhower’s gymnasium, which was turned into a dance hall.

On this day, Thursday, December 18, a month-long education on dancing in Physical Education classes produced the end result.

Eisenhower’s energetic Health and Physical Education Teachers—Stephen Fenton, Nicole Fitzpatrick, Beth Malakoff, Elyse Omerza, and Jim Perry–joined in on the dancing during the event.

The Eisenhower students followed their steps for every lively song.

Shuffling on stage to show off her dancing skills was the school’s beloved snow lady herself—Dr. Laura Bassett, the Eisenhower Principal.

“The Snowman Shuffle is an event our school looks forward to every year,” Principal Bassett claimed. “ Our Health and Physical Education team works hard to transform the gym into a festive dance hall, and our students put into practice the dances that they learned in their dance unit in phys ed.”

Eisenhower’s dancing snowman concluded:

“It is a great way to celebrate our hard work so far this year and enjoy physical activity with classmates and teachers.”
