The holiday season was kicked off by the chorus students at the Eisenhower Intermediate School.

The Eisenhower 5th Grade Chorus Concert was held before family and friends on the evening of Tuesday, December 2, in the school’s gymnasium. The Eisenhower 6th Grade Chorus performed the following night on Wednesday, December 4.

During the morning of December, both student chorus grades sang before their classmates and staff in a school-wide assembly.

The 5th Grade performed under their director, Madison Kaminsky, and the 6th Grade sang under their director, Christine Neville

“They prepared an arrangement of winter and festively themed songs that accompanied student speakers reflecting on holidays and celebrations they have at home,” Ms. Nevill said.

The 6th Grade Concert also featured the 5th and 6th Grade Encores Lunch Club led by Ms. Kaminsky.

Ms. Kaminsky reviewed what a wonderful performance he led over two evenings and one morning.

"The Eisenhower 5th and 6th Grade Chorus performed their annual Winter Choral Concert on Tuesday, December 2nd, and Wednesday, December 3rd, followed by a daytime performance for faculty and peers,," Ms. Kaminsky said.. "They sang a diverse selection of pieces and also highlighted student speakers who spoke about their favorite holiday traditions during the winter season. Our students worked incredibly hard to prepare and memorize this challenging repertoire of music during their weekly chorus classes. I am so proud of their accomplishment and am so happy to start out the 2025-2026 school year on such a high note!"

Ms. Nevill was impressed by how well the students prepared.

“This year, the students had a little over 10 weeks to prepare, memorize, and present their repertoire, and they met that challenge easily,” Ms. Nevill revealed.

“I am so proud of my students and all of their accomplishments and hard work on our winter concert. I am very excited to prepare even more fun music for our spring concert, festival, and any other activities that present themselves in the spring,” Ms. Nevill said.
