The halftime performance during the Super Bowl this February inspired an artistic Eisenhower Intermediate School student.
Camryn Colon, a 6th Grader at Eisenhower, recreated the halftime show that was presented by the famous musical artist Bad Bunny with a Peeps-designed exhibit.
She was one of 12 entries in Eisenhower’s first Peeps Design Contest, coordinated by Kim Patullo, the school’s Counselor.
Eisenhower students voted for the winning design exhibit by placing change into a collection jar.
The winner was Camryn, who received $30.01 of the $176.45 collected.
In turn, as part of the mission to donate the money to a charity, Camryn selected the Alzheimer’s Association.
“I have a close friend whose grandmother has Alzheimer's,” Camryn said.
She was intrigued by Bad Bunny's halftime performance during Super Bowl LX, held in Santa Clara, California, and won by the Seattle Seahawks.
“I was very happy that I won,” she said.
“She is just an amazing kid,” Ms. Pattulo added.
