A festival to celebrate the fall season and a new environment was held for the first time ever at Eisenhower Intermediate School.
The inaugural Family Fall Fest was staged at Eisenhower on the evening of Friday, October 16, when families and students engaged in a wide assortment of games and activities.
The spearheads behind this first-time event were the Co-Presidents of the Eisenhower PTO, Annie Higgins and Kaitlin Kaiser.
To mark the first year that Grade 4 students now attend the intermediate schools in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, the Eisenhower PTO launched this fun-filled community event.
“As we celebrate our inaugural year as an upper elementary school, we wanted to create a special opportunity for our fourth and fifth graders to welcome the fall season and strengthen the connections that make our school community so special. We hope to make this an annual school event for our families,” Ms. Kaiser said.
Ms. Kaiser shared the enjoyment of the night’s various activities.
“The evening featured something for everyone, including a pumpkin decorating contest, an inflatable corn maze, carnival games, a DJ, a photo booth, face painting, hair tinsel, fall crafts, and a fall-themed sensory break area. Families also enjoyed seasonal snacks, as well as delicious pizza and cannoli from a visiting food truck.”
She concluded.
“ From festive activities to opportunities to connect with friends and family, the event was a wonderful celebration of the season and Eisenhower’s school community.”
